Frequently Asked Questions

What is Forme & Flux?

Forme & Flux is a Maine-based nutrition and wellness practice led by Amy Taylor Grimm, RDN, LD, CPT, a registered dietitian with over twenty years of experience. The practice offers personalized nutrition counseling and movement guidance to help clients feel stronger, more balanced, and confident in their relationship with food and body.

Who do you work with?

Forme & Flux works with clients seeking nutrition counseling and disordered-eating support in Maine and online. People come to the practice for:

• Rebuilding trust with food after years of dieting or restriction

• Guidance while using GLP-1 medications such as semaglutide (Ozempic®, Wegovy®) or tirzepatide (Zepbound®, Mounjaro®)

• Improving energy and well-being through individualized nutrition and movement

• Support for hormonal, metabolic, or appetite changes without rigid food rules

All services are inclusive, compassionate, and grounded in practical, science-based guidance.

Do you work with eating disorders?

Yes. The Forme & Flux team has extensive experience providing nutrition therapy for eating and disordered-eating recovery. We offer a supportive, individualized approach to help clients restore balanced eating and confidence around food. For clients needing higher-level or multidisciplinary care, Amy Taylor Grimm also co-owns Kaleidoscope Eating Disorders & Diet Recovery Center in Maine.

Are your sessions virtual?

Yes — Forme & Flux is a fully virtual nutrition practice. All sessions are held online for convenience and privacy, making it easy to access professional support from anywhere in Maine or other states where our dietitians are licensed.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. Most nutrition-counseling sessions are covered under preventive-care or medical-nutrition-therapy benefits. Forme & Flux is in-network with several major insurers in Maine. Movement or strength sessions are offered as self-pay services.

What are GLP-1 nutrition-support sessions?

These sessions are designed for individuals using GLP-1 medications such as semaglutide (Ozempic®, Wegovy®) or tirzepatide (Zepbound®, Mounjaro®). Forme & Flux provides GLP-1 nutrition counseling focused on maintaining lean mass, meeting protein and micronutrient needs, supporting digestion, and managing side effects — all with a flexible and balanced approach to eating. We also stay informed about emerging medications in this class as new options become available.

Do you create meal plans?

Meal planning at Forme & Flux is flexible and collaborative. We help clients build structure around meals and snacks that support energy, variety, and satisfaction — without restriction or guilt. Meal ideas can be tailored for recovery, strength, or GLP-1 support goals.

Can you help me get stronger or improve fitness?

Yes. Movement is often part of the healing process. Forme & Flux offers gentle strength and conditioning guidance — informed by Amy’s training as a certified personal trainer — to help clients feel capable, steady, and connected to their bodies.
